The drafting process this year has been broken down into two days, March 13th and March 20th. By now you should have received an email with your draft day and time. If you did not get one it means 1)the area you live in only had enough players for one team in your division, 2)You are waitlisted, or 3)you are coaching your childs team, so there will not be a draft for your child. Your coach should be contacting you soon to introduce himself to you.
There are strict guidelines we need you to follow on draft day to make it run as smooth and quick as possible.
1. Bring your email with you that show your zone color, check-in time and drill starting times. You will need this to enter the check-in line.
2. DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY. If you do, you will be asked to wait in your car until your scheduled time.
3. DO NOT ARRIVE LATE. The check-in process will end 25 minutes from the start time. If you are not in line by that time then you will not be able to participate in the drill stations. The player’s name will be placed in a hat drawing to be placed on a team.
4. You can only attend the assigned schedule you were given. Due to every player entering the draft, each zone and division was assigned a specific date and time and no substitutions will be allowed.
5. Parents- once your player is signed in, they will be placed with a handler who will escort them from station to station. At this point we need you to stay in the designated parent zone so that we do not have any interference with the drill stations. You may watch from this section, but please do not enter the drill stations. This area is for our players, coaches and the volunteers running the drills.
6. If you are new to the league, and have not already shown your child’s birth certificate, please bring it with you.
7. If you have not paid, please bring your payment with you. If you do not have it at check-in you will not be able to participate in the drill stations and you will be put on a waitlist to play.
8. Bring cleats and tennis shoes. If it rains, the draft will be moved inside and the players will need to switch to their tennis shoes.
