2021 Covid Considerations This season will undoubtably look very different from seasons past. As we try to balance keeping everyone safe & healthy and the emotional & physical needs of our youth, please adhere to the following COVID-19 precautions:
We are asking all family members and spectators on the fields to wear a mask and try not to sit/stand too closely. If you are PHYSICALLY UNABLE to wear a mask due to a medical condition, please stay at least 6 feet from other people at all times.
Players on the playing field will not need to wear a mask during play.
We will not be taking temperatures at practices or games. We are relying on the integrity of our families and coaches to keep sick players and family members at home. If your child or a family member is exhibiting ANY signs of illness, do not bring them to practice or games.
There will be designated and marked arrival and departure paths to and from the game fields in an attempt to keep people distanced as much as possible when going to and from the fields.
We are currently intending to have a draft this Spring season. However, we are still going over all available options on how to do this safely (available facilities, varying days, outdoors, virtually, etc.) so we don't have all the information on what drafts will look like as of now. While there is a possibility of having to have "hat picked" teams, know that we are striving to find a way to be able to have coaches draft their Spring teams. Information about drafts will be sent out as soon as it is available.
Payment for this season will not be due immediately. Because this pandemic is an ongoing and very fluid situation, we understand that there is concern over what things will look like by March when the season is due to start and if restrictions out of our control might cause another cancellation. We will not be asking for payment until the season is more solidified closer to the Spring. We will be requiring that payment either be made or payment arrangements made no later than February 15th 2021. This gives us a little time before the drafts to know how many players we have for the season to create the teams and draft schedules. If payment or arrangements are not made by February 15th, your players registration will not be guaranteed, regardless of when he/she was registered.
This season's teams and options for players to return will follow the same guidelines as past seasons. Each player that was registered in Spring of 2020 will have the option to return to the team that he/she was assigned or drafted to, as long as they are eligible, even though the season was cancelled. Coaches that were assigned to Spring 2020 teams will also have the option to return to those teams this Spring, with priority given to those coaches who register by January 31st.
We truly hope to be able to bring our kiddos and families back to a sense of normalcy and excitement this Spring! Please be patient as we work through the details of these unprecedented times so that we can do our best to provide you all will a safe and successful season. We will provide you with any information throughout the process as soon as it is available.
Thank you all for your support and for being a part of our FYFFL family. We are so excited to start working on our next season!!!
